Madrid's Annual Run for Cancer Research
Terry Fox Madrid (TFM) is an annual charity event held in Madrid, Spain, bringing together Canadians, Spaniards, and people from all over the world to honour Terry Fox's legacy and raise funds for cancer research.
The Terry Fox Run in Madrid was founded by members of the international running community of Madrid who wanted to continue the tradition of the Terry Fox Run in their adopted home. What started as a small gathering has grown into a beloved annual event that draws participants from across Madrid and beyond.
We run, walk, and roll to raise awareness and funds for cancer research — just as Terry intended. All proceeds are donated directly to the Terry Fox Foundation in Canada, which funds world-class cancer research. We plan to transfer the event funds to Fundación CRIS Contra el Cancer here in Spain.
Fundación CRIS Contra el CancerTFM is organized entirely by volunteers — Americans, Canadians, Spaniards, and international residents of Madrid who share a passion for Terry's cause. We welcome everyone: runners, walkers, families, and supporters of all ages and abilities.
The Terry Fox Foundation is the result of a promise made to Terry Fox that no matter what happened to him, his work – raising funds for cancer research until all cancers are eradicated – would continue.
